Have you seen it yet? The
invitation for the royal wedding is simple but beautiful. It is a thick white card quite large in size measuring 8 inches wide by 6 inches tall. At the top you will find the Queens insignia, die stamped in gold & then varnished.
All 1,800 invitations were sent through the royal mail & each was adorned with a stamp of the Queen's profile. It was the wording however, that intrigued me the most.
The Lord Chamberlain is commanded by
The Queen to invite

Can you imagine being a guest that the queen has commanded the Lord Chamberlain to invite? Enchanting isn't it? I was also intrigued by the K.G. behind Prince William's name. It stands for his Knighthood.
At the bottom there is a specific request for a dress code of "uniform, morning coat or lounge suit." So what would you wear if you were on the guest list? I don't even know what a morning coat or a lounge suit is.
